Roadworks diversion

Between October 15 and November 16 , 2026 , the access roads to Rinsumageast are closed due to roadworks. This means that you must follow an alternative route.


From N356 Drachten to Rinsumageast

  • You follow the route from Drachten towards Dokkum via the N356.

  • At the Lauwersoog/Dokkum roundabout, follow the signs towards N361 Dokkum .

  • You drive straight ahead, past the Rinsumageast roundabout.

  • At the Burdaard roundabout, turn left towards Tuskendammen and immediately turn left onto the Fjildwei .

  • You then drive straight into Rinsumageast.


From N361 Leeuwarden to Rinsumageast

  • You follow the route from Leeuwarden towards Dokkum via the N361.

  • At the Burdaard roundabout, turn right towards Tuskendammen and immediately turn left onto the Fjildwei .

  • You then drive straight into Rinsumageast.
