General terms and conditions, house rules and cancellation

 

Check-in time: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Check-out time: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM

 

When booking a stay at Herberg Het Rechthuis, you agree to our terms and conditions and respect our house rules.

 

General terms and conditions

 

Check-in

Check-in is possible between 3pm and 8pm.

Are you arriving earlier or later? This is only possible if we have confirmed your request.

 

Check out

Check-out time is between 6:00 and 11:00.

 

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 10:00.

 

Children

Children aged 12 and older are welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under 12.

 

Payment

After you make your reservation, you will receive an invoice from us by email. Your reservation is final once you have paid the invoice.

Payment on account

For our business guests, payment by invoice is possible. Please contact us for more information.

 

Payment options

You can pay any additional costs at check-out using Maestro (PIN), Mastercard, Visa and cash.

 

Limited facilities for people with disabilities

The rooms are located on the first floor and are accessible via the shared staircase. It is your responsibility to determine whether you are able to navigate the stairs. The ground floor has limited wheelchair access.

 

Tourist tax

As of January 1, 2021, the rate is €1.00 per adult per night (€1.50 from January 1, 2026). Tourist tax is not included in the room rate and will be charged separately.

VAT

As of January 1, 2026, VAT on accommodation has been increased from 9% to 21%.

 

House rules

 

Manners

We want your stay with us to be as pleasant as possible. This means that we treat each other with respect. We reserve the right to deny you access in the event of serious misbehavior.

 

Alcohol and drug use

Alcohol will not be served to persons under the age of 18. In case of doubt, identification will be requested. We always reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol. Drug use is not permitted in any case or quantity.

 

Theft, destruction or damage

Did something accidentally get broken? That can always happen, just let us know. Vandalism or theft is always reported and all costs are recovered from you.

 

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside. If smoking has taken place in the rooms, €250.00 (incl. VAT) will be charged for cleaning costs.

 

Pets

Pets are not allowed for hygienic reasons. Medical assistance dogs are of course always welcome.

 

Complaints

If you have any comments or are dissatisfied with something, please let us know immediately. We will then try to find a suitable solution.

If you wish to cancel, you can do so via our website.

Did you book through a booking agent, such as Booking.com or Expedia?

You should contact the customer service of the agent in question.

Cancellation policy

 

Cancel up to 5 days before arrival
You can cancel your reservation by phone up to 5 days before arrival. We will refund your deposit. For example, if your arrival date is June 6th, you can cancel free of charge up to 3:00 PM on June 1st. If you cancel within 5 days of arrival, the full deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee.

 

Non-cancellable

If you have chosen a non-cancellable rate, the full deposit will be charged as cancellation fees.

 

Confirmation
Your cancellation is final once you receive confirmation from us by email. Depending on the terms and conditions you choose, you will receive a refund within a few business days.
