The Butenfjild is a beautiful natural environment to explore with a whisper boat. You sail a beautiful route through the Sippen-Fennen (4.5 km), which is surrounded by the Ottema-Wiersma reserve and the Houtwielen. Wild horses graze in this nature reserve and you often see roe deer and foxes and otters also occur here. At the watchtower you can dock and have a beautiful overview of the grasslands of It Bûtenfjild.
